Your Step to Step Guide of Shopping the Summer Sale

16th July 2019

It’s that time of year again in the shopping calendar, the time of year which sets shoppers into a buying frenzy: summer sale.

Are you a panic buyer? You buy everything in sight that you slightly like the look of in fear that it might be out of stock within the next hour. Or are you more of a cautious spender? Adding and deleting items from your basket until everything you want is out of stock.

Name a better feeling than the shopping satisfaction of purchasing the piece you’ve been longing for all season but at a slightly lower price.

So to help you out we’ve created a step by step guide of how to steer clear of sale shopping hazards for a smooth checkout process, landing yourself a new season wardrobe without clearing the bank. Your wardrobe will thank us later.

Strutting to shop the summer sale

Step One

Browse early. Build your wish list as you shop, remembering to add items in your desired size (no strategy = no purchase).

Step Two

Be realistic. Take a look at your existing wardrobe: what’s missing? What do you always tell yourself that you need? Maybe you have a million and one tops but no jacket to wear over them. Don’t buy a top to add to your never-ending no-wearing pile, really think about what will help your dressing situation.

Step Three

Just because it's a bargain doesn’t mean it’s a necessity. Yes you might be able to get a top for under £10 but wouldn’t you rather put that towards the jacket you’ve been longing for?

Step Four

The classics. Always a good option, if you’re um-ing and ah-ing about a pair of trousers, get them, because you know you’ll get wear out of them in every season. We do live in the UK after all.

Step Five

Think about the pieces that will work all year round. A black leather jacket works every season, with knits or over a maxi dress. Total sense. Must buy.

Step Six

And if you can’t stop thinking about it, just buy it. It’s in the sale after all.
