Behind The Scenes Of Our AW26 Photoshoot

Behind The Scenes Of Our AW26 Photoshoot

There are places that need little introduction. Places where the landscape does the talking.

For our AW26 campaign, we travelled into one of the Lake District’s most iconic valleys: Langdale.

With its dramatic landscapes, winding roads and characterful places to stop along the way, the valley provided the backdrop for our latest collection. More than simply a setting, it became part of the story, rooted in the landscape that has shaped Lakeland Leather. Wild, enduring and unmistakably beautiful.

Into The Valley

One of our key locations for the campaign was Blea Tarn, where the landscape offered everything we were looking for: rugged stone, open water, changing skies and the sense of stillness that makes the Lakes so distinctive.

But this wasn't a story about conquering the landscape.

Instead, we wanted to show another side of the Lake District, one that can be discovered at your own pace. From scenic drives and quiet viewpoints to cosy pubs and beautiful places to stop along the way, the journey was about slowing down and taking it all in.

From Fells To Fireside

We found the perfect setting at the Three Shires Inn. Its traditional pub interior brought a warmth and intimacy to the campaign, contrasting beautifully with the exposed landscape outside.

Cosy fireside moments, natural textures and the character of the inn allowed us to showcase another dimension of the AW26 collection. Leather and suede naturally belong in these surroundings, materials chosen for their durability, tactility and ability to develop character over time.

The contrast between the wildness of the valley and the warmth of the inn became an important part of the visual story. Outside, the elements. Inside, comfort. And throughout, pieces designed to move effortlessly between the two.

Our Roots

At the heart of the shoot was a simple idea: heritage, craft and quality.

The Lake District isn't simply a backdrop for Lakeland Leather. It is part of our identity. Our collections are inspired by the landscapes around us, and by the enduring character of the place we call home.

For AW26, we wanted that connection to feel tangible. The rich textures of leather and suede sit naturally against rugged stone and autumnal landscapes, while considered silhouettes and enduring designs reflect the same sense of longevity found in the landscape itself.

Every detail of the shoot was considered with this in mind, from the locations and changing natural light to the styling and quieter moments between the main shots.

The Team

From the creative direction and styling to photography, production and the people working behind the scenes, every element of the campaign came together through collaboration.

The landscape gave us the setting, but the team gave the campaign its character. We wanted the final images to feel effortless and authentic, but behind every frame were early starts, location changes, a quick laugh when the wind had other ideas, careful styling, equipment carried across uneven ground and plenty of decisions made in the moment.

That is the reality of creating a campaign in the Lakes, and perhaps that is what we love about it. It's part of what makes it special.

The Lakes, Our Way

Perhaps the biggest inspiration behind the campaign was the idea that exploring doesn't always mean going further.

Sometimes it's a winding road through the valley. A viewpoint you've stopped at before, seen in a completely different light. A walk beside the tarn. A pint by the fire. A moment to look up from the road and take in the fells.

The Lakes in winter have a way of making you pause. Wind moves across the water. Frost settles into the stone. Light appears and disappears almost as quickly as it arrived.

It was this raw, understated beauty that we wanted to capture for AW26.

We are crafted by nature. We are worn with purpose. We are Lakeland Leather.
